Christmas celebrates the coming of Jesus to establish his Messianic Kingdom. The nature of that kingdom was not understood in his day, and it is often not understood by Christians in our day. Yet, Jesus told us that the top priority of our lives is to be seeking his kingdom. This episode explains the nature of that kingdom, so we can seek it!
When we ponder who our mission is FOR, it energizes us. Christ is the one who personally calls our name with a mission for us as our creator, designer, master, king, and redeemer. We further saw that our mission is FOR Christ, in that HE is the one who is loved, pleased, honored, and glorified when we are faithful to the mission he gave us
Do you ever feel like taking care of your daily responsibilities wears you out and doesn’t seem connected very much to your Christian faith? Afterall, other than maybe readying your Bible, 98% of what you do from wake up time until bed time is the same as non-Christians do. It is hard to see much spiritual significance in the daily grind. But, the Apostle Paul had a different view of the daily grind. He wrote, For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them (Eph 2:10).
